Current Director Amanda Walkerden has indicated that she will be stepping down from the Board at the October AGM in order to focus on her business (and of course her golf). We thank Amanda for her service to the Club and its Board over the last two years!
Clubhouse Development Update
Since the general meeting approving the Clubhouse Development to progress, there has been considerable activity going on behind the scenes both by the Clubs development partner Mirvac, and by the Club. Members may have recently noticed additional activity around the course and Clubhouse as the Club prepares the aspect of the development required to minimise disruption to members, primarily relating to the golf course.
In addition to course renovations, various contractors have been onsite working on the progression of the development, specifically:
- Mirvac are working to finalise the Development Application (DA) in keeping with the planning conditions required by the Site Compatibility Certificate issued by the NSW Planning Department.
- A range of external contractors have been working to support the course aspects of the development, including; field survey, flora and fauna ecology assessment and reports, temporary clubhouse facilities supplier, and a simulator studio designer.
- Course Architect James Wilcher (Golf by Design) is working on plans to rejuvenate the 19th hole and practice fairway green, in keeping with the concept presentation, with detailed plans expected to be completed in the next month.
These works are coming together well, and we are looking forward to presenting members with details of the Development Application in coming months.
From the Course
Rainfall for the Week: 5.5mm, Rainfall for 2022: 1,702.5mm Dam: 100% Green Speed: 8 feet
We have started cutting greens this week at 4mm after a slower recovery from the recent renovations. A few warmer nights this week and the turf on the greens have responded; they are looking great heading into the weekend. The team has been turfing and plugging out the damaged areas on greens throughout the week, taking turf from the nursery green to transplant onto the in-play greens.
The team has scarified all collars to remove excess sand that had finished up on the collars after greens renovations. The sand could hinder any potential early season couch growth, and the sand removal will improve playing conditions on the collars. The couch doesn’t usually come out of it’s winter dormancy until early November, as it requires consecutive nightly temperatures in the mid to high teens to elevate soil temperatures that will stimulate any growth of this turf species.
The fertiliser, lime, pre-emergent herbicide and residual insecticide applications to fairways commenced as planned this week, with around half of all fairways completed so far. This work will be completed next week, with fairways already completed looking brighter in colour from the fertiliser and lime applications.
New Local Rules boards for the 1st and 12th tees have been ordered and delivered, with the 12th tee notice board installed today. The location of this notice board has been moved to the back right of the women’s tee so that it is more accessible to all members before and during their round, as both men and women will walk or drive past this area on the way to their respective tees. The location of the 1st tee notice board is also going to be moved, and will be installed on the bend of the path, with the rubbish bin, soil bin, ball washer and divot bucket stands all being situated together.
Our volunteer’s were on course Monday morning, performing a bunker run before the competition, OOB and hazard pegs checked, lines on speed humps on the 9th path painted, gurney work at the front of the Clubhouse, and tree guards checked. Thank you gentlemen for another productive and enjoyable day!
Enjoy the weekend!

Membership Joining Fees to Increase 1st October 2022
Members are reminded that the Joining Fees for the various Club membership categories are set to increase on 1st October (as advised in June 2022). With our Full-Playing membership category again at capacity (500 members) and a waitlist in place, the Club currently has limited spaces remaining in the 6-Day and Lifestyle categories. This is a fantastic position for the Club to be in and provides a wonderful platform for the Club as we embark on the next chapter of the Club’s future and a new Clubhouse, with facilities that will be the envy of the Greater Sydney golf industry.
As such, the Membership Committee and Board have decided to raise the Joining Fees for Club membership, for each of the three playing categories, being:
- Full (including Intermediate 1,2 & 3)
- 6 Day
- Lifestyle
The increase will be 30% on the current Entrance Fees, and will come into effect on 1st October 2022.
Any friend or family member that joins the Club prior to 1st October, (or in the case of Full Membership, places their name on the waitlist prior to 1st October), will only be required to pay the current Joining Fee, as listed below.

Charlie Choi had the largest winning margin of the day with a 4&3 win over Luke Bradshaw and a special mention has to go to Salim Rahmati for his 2up victory over Stephen Doherty that included some energetic celebratory moves on the 18th green after holing the winning putt.
